Hi, I am not necessarily an ardent anglophile. I'm trying to make contact with anybody who has intimate familiarity with the English social scene/aristocracy (not the rich, fameous, & powerful) for a novel I am writing. I live in California and have been to England 4 or 5 times. The character that I'm thinking about would be a low-ranking aristocrate who is still hanging on to his heriditary lands but I'm trying to get a realistic feel for real-life situation of such a person.
